A tested exchange destination and an automatic sweep rule for your chosen currency.
1. Choose your currency and exchange
Wholly Crypto connects to Kraken, Binance and Coinbase Advanced Trade. You need your own eligible exchange account. Available assets, networks and fiat markets depend on the provider, your account and region.
Customer payments first reach your project wallets. A configured sweep sends them to your exchange account. Conversion starts after the exchange credits the deposits. Fiat stays on the exchange; bank payouts are not automated.
Choose EUR, USD, GBP or another currency only if a matching direct spot market is available. USDC and USDT are crypto tokens, not cash USD. Once sent to the exchange, funds are in its custody and its verification requirements and limits apply.
2. Connect a dedicated API key
As an administrator, open Settings → Exchanges. Add the account, enter a dedicated API key and grant access only to the projects that need it. Use the permission hints in the form.
- Kraken: balance/funding, deposit-address and order queries; add order creation for conversion. Key setup ↗
- Binance: reading and spot trading for conversion. API permissions ↗
- Coinbase Advanced Trade: a CDP ECDSA (P-256) key with view/receive and trade access, scoped to the receiving portfolio. Not an old Coinbase Pro key. Key setup ↗
Do not enable withdrawals. Where supported, restrict the key to your VPS’s outbound public IP, not a Cloudflare proxy IP. Keep keys out of messages, invoice metadata and screenshots.
Save, run Check connection, then enable the connection and Allow spot market conversion. New or changed credentials start paused. Review saved rules before reconnecting an account; they can resume.
3. Verify the exchange destination
Open Project → Sweep → Exchange destinations → Add destination. Choose the asset and exchange, discover the available network and compare the receiving address with the exchange’s deposit screen.
Check the exact network and token contract, not just the ticker. USDC on Ethereum is not USDC on Solana. Confirm the contract manually if the exchange does not report it. Only compatible routes are offered; destinations needing an outgoing memo or tag are not supported.
Deposit minimums apply to each blockchain transaction. Several small invoice addresses do not become one qualifying deposit simply because they share a sweep. If needed, consolidate into your own wallet first; that costs extra network fees.
4. Choose the market and sweep settings
Check the available markets in Settings → Exchanges. For example, choose BTC → EUR only when that direct market is listed and usable for your account. No automatic multi-step route through another coin is used.
Under Project → Sweep → Automatic Sweep Setup, find the chain/asset and open Setup. Set Send to → Exchange, choose the verified destination and select the target market instead of deposit-only. Each rule sends to either an exchange or another wallet, not both.
Set the sweep minimum, the amount to keep and fee limits. Token transfers still need native gas, such as ETH for ERC-20. Review automatic gas funding and its budget. See the sweep setup guide.
Reporting currency is only a display setting. Choosing EUR in regional or project settings does not trade your coins. The conversion target belongs to this rule.
5. Test the full route before automating
Keep the rule off while you test a small manual send to this exchange destination with the same conversion choice. It must cover network fees and meet both deposit and trading minimums. Review the plan before approval: this sends real funds and can place a market order.
Check the credited deposit, completed order and actual fiat balance on the exchange. Then enable the automatic rule. Sending must be enabled on your server and processing credits must allow automation.
What affects the amount you receive?
Network fees, any deposit fee, trading fees and market-price movement affect the result. The invoice-time rate is not a guaranteed execution price.
Conversion leaves 1% of the matched source amount as fee/rounding headroom on the exchange. This is not an extra fee paid to Wholly Crypto; unused funds remain in your exchange account. It does not spend unrelated exchange holdings.
6. Follow deposits and conversions
Transfer activity shows the on-chain send. Exchange activity shows Awaiting exchange credit, Order in progress and finally Converted. Every transaction in a multi-address transfer must be credited before conversion can proceed.
Use Settings → Exchanges → Balances to inspect holdings. The estimated account total uses your regional fiat currency; it does not mean every holding has been converted.
If a job needs review, check its deposit and order on the exchange. Use Check exchange again for an existing submitted order. Do not create a replacement after a timeout: the original order may already exist.
Disable the rule or disconnect the exchange to pause new work. Already submitted transactions or orders are not reversed. Low processing credits also pause new conversions, while existing orders continue to be checked. Exchange reference →
