BITCOIN PAYMENTS

Accept Bitcoin payments. Keep control.

Give customers a BTC checkout on your domain. Wholly Crypto runs on your Linux VPS and tracks payments into your own project wallets.

A fiat price, a Bitcoin payment

Create a $49 or €49 invoice manually or through the API. Checkout quotes the BTC amount, shows the selected network, payment QR and expiry, then tracks receipt and confirmations. You receive BTC, not an automatic conversion to your bank account.

Set up Bitcoin for your store

  1. Install Wholly Crypto and activate billing.
  2. Create a project and a store. Back up the Bitcoin wallet privately, off your server.
  3. In Store → Payment methods, enable Bitcoin. Check your external node connections and fallbacks.
  4. Choose confirmations and expiry, create a small invoice and verify the full workflow before fulfilling customer orders.

No Bitcoin node needs to run on your merchant VPS. External providers still need enough capacity for reliable scanning.

Confirmations matter

On-chain Bitcoin invoices use fresh receiving addresses for payment matching. Wholly Crypto watches for incoming transactions and the confirmations you require. Underpayments show the remaining amount; unusual or late payments go to Needs attention.

Zero-confirmation detection is not final settlement on the network. A success redirect alone is never proof of payment.

Offer Lightning too.

Connect your LND node or a compatible Nostr Wallet Connect wallet and enable Lightning per store. Customers pay a Lightning invoice instead of an on-chain address. The wallet reports settlement, without waiting for block confirmations.

Choose your custody model and keep receiving capacity and channel backups ready. Set up Bitcoin Lightning →

What it costs

The default processing fee is 1% of the invoice’s original fiat value, charged separately from prepaid credits. A $100 invoice uses $1 of credit at that rate. Network fees and VPS costs are separate; your assigned rate applies.

Low credits do not stop receiving payments or creating invoices in existing stores. Automation, new projects/stores and software updates pause. See exactly what stays available.

Build your payment flow

Use the invoice API and signed notifications, or start with payment links. Looking for stablecoin payments? Read about USDT and USDC.

Secure your VPS and backups. Non-custodial hot wallets still depend on the security of the server holding their keys.
