Monero

Accept Monero with view-only tracking.

Offer XMR payments while keeping the spending wallet outside Wholly Crypto. A project-specific external view-only wallet reports incoming payments to your self-hosted checkout.

What you can receive

Connect an external, project-specific view-only wallet RPC as well as a daemon. Each invoice gets a subaddress. A public daemon alone cannot see your payments. Keep the spending wallet elsewhere; Wholly Crypto cannot sweep XMR.

Set up your store

  1. Install Wholly Crypto, create a project and store, and keep a private wallet backup.
  2. Check scanner-compatible connections and enable the chain and intended assets in Store → Payment methods.
  3. Set confirmations and expiry. Test a small invoice and verify settlement before fulfilling orders.

Where your payments arrive

Each invoice gets a subaddress from the connected view-only wallet. You need both the wallet RPC connection and daemon evidence. A public Monero daemon alone cannot discover payments to your wallet.

Move funds when you are ready

Manage withdrawals in your external Monero spending wallet. Wholly Crypto cannot send or automatically sweep XMR. Back up that wallet separately and never paste spending keys into a public node connection.

Can I use the same setup as Bitcoin or Ethereum?

No. First connect the external view-only wallet for the project, then enable XMR in the store. Protect access to the wallet RPC: view-only does not mean its transaction information should be public.

Fees and verification

The default processing fee is 1% of the invoice’s fiat value, paid from separate credits. Your assigned rate applies. Network fees and server costs are separate.

Public providers can have outages or rate limits. A submitted transaction or return redirect is not proof of payment. Use the verified invoice status and signed notifications.
