Ethereum & EVM tokens

New address per invoice

Where payments arrive

Each invoice gets a new derived address. ETH and enabled ERC-20 tokens on the same chain share that invoice address. The base address is index 0; invoice addresses start at index 1.

Back up & recover

  1. Use the recovery phrase for this project’s specific chain wallet. Its path is m/44'/60'/0'/0/{index}. Other project or chain wallets have separate secrets.
  2. MetaMask may miss token-only accounts or addresses after empty accounts. Under the same imported recovery phrase, add Ethereum accounts in order until their addresses match the invoice indexes. Select the correct network and add the verified token contract if needed.
  3. A revealed private key restores only its displayed address. Use Addresses & recovery to find the invoice index before revealing that key. Never enter recovery words into a website or online derivation tool.

Keep secrets offline. Do not upload your backup or paste recovery words into a web tool. Verify a recovered public address first. A wallet seed does not restore your invoice database.

A practical way to manage funds

A threshold-based sweep to a wallet you control can make daily handling easier. Each source holding USDC, USDT or another token needs the chain’s native gas coin. Check gas before enabling optional top-ups; sweep tokens before draining the native balance.

Separate EVM networks have separate balances and gas. ETH on Ethereum does not pay gas on Base. Review fees and start with a small transfer; saved guidance never enables sending.

Check in Wholly Crypto

Open Project → Wallets → Addresses. Search by address, invoice ID, order ID, memo/tag or index. Balances are cached, so review a fresh transfer quote before sending.
